Leave the well appointed 3 star Hotel Vannucci in Città della Pieve. The town is the birthplace of the Renaissance painter Pietro Vannucci (known as Perugino).

If you have upgraded you set off from the luxurious 4 star hotel, Le Logge del Perugino.

After a good climb, you are rewarded with magnificent views of Lake Trasimeno.

Le Grotte di Boldrino in beautiful Panicale is the second hotel on the route.

However, for those on the upgraded walk there are more views towards the Lake before arriving at Villa Monte Solare.
